History
The Institut Agricole Régional was established at Aosta in 1951 (from an earlier École Pratique d'Agriculture), led early on by Canon Joseph Vaudan, and became central to the modern revival of Valdostan viticulture. Its Joseph Vaudan winery combines teaching, research and micro-vinification with a respected commercial range from across the valley's grapes.
