History

Cantina Zaccagnini was established in 1978 by Marcello 'Ciccio' Zaccagnini at Bolognano beneath the Gran Sasso, growing into one of Abruzzo's largest quality estates. Its emblem is the tralcetto, a real vine cutting tied by hand to each bottle of the Tralcetto line; the winery also has ties to the artist Joseph Beuys's Defence of Nature project.
