History
Valle Reale began in 1998 when the Pizzolo family set out to restore old Montepulciano vineyards on their land in the cool valley near Popoli, one of Abruzzo's highest, mountain-framed wine sites. Led by Leonardo Pizzolo and farmed organically, the estate makes fresh, altitude-driven Montepulciano, with the old San Calisto vineyard as its flagship.
