History
Tenuta Rapitalà was born in 1968 at Camporeale when the French count Hugues Bernard de la Gatinais, a naval officer from Saint-Malo, married Gigi Guarrasi and rebuilt her family's earthquake-damaged cellars in the Belice valley. Blending French varieties with Sicilian natives, it made its first vintage in 1975 and was among the first Sicilian estates to bottle under its own label.
