History
Casale della Ioria, a historic Cesanese estate founded in 1921, was transformed from the early 1980s by Paolo Perinelli, who replanted to native Cesanese d'Affile when the area favoured simple whites and in 1999 became the first to age Cesanese in barrique. Its Torre del Piano Riserva is a benchmark of Cesanese del Piglio.
