History

Damijan Podversic is one of Italy's benchmark makers of skin-contact 'orange' wine, working the Monte Calvario slopes above Gorizia. Influenced by Josko Gravner, he macerates his native whites on the skins for 60 to 90 days in open oak vats, ageing three years in wood, to make deeply structured Ribolla Gialla, Friulano (Nekaj) and Malvasia.
