History
Cleto Chiarli founded Emilia-Romagna's first wine company in 1860, having made Lambrusco for the osteria he ran in Modena. The house became the reference name for Modena's sparkling reds and, a century on, pioneered the Charmat tank method for Lambrusco. Its Vecchia Modena Lambrusco di Sorbara and Grasparossa di Castelvetro bottlings are benchmarks of serious, dry Lambrusco.
