History

Terre del Principe grew out of the revival of the near-forgotten Caserta grapes Pallagrello and Casavecchia; Peppe Mancini, a lawyer, and Manuela Piancastelli, a journalist at Il Mattino, left their careers to make wine from them.

The estate works about 8 hectares of indigenous varieties in the Terra di Lavoro, producing roughly 20,000 bottles a year of Pallagrello Bianco, Pallagrello Nero and Casavecchia.
