History
Giovanni Ascione, a wine writer and critic nicknamed Nanni Copè, founded his estate in 2007 after deciding to make wine himself, restoring an old vineyard at Castel Campagnano. From a single plot he makes one celebrated red, Sabbie di Sopra il Bosco, from Pallagrello Nero with Aglianico and Casavecchia, prized for elegance and drinkability.
