History

Grotta del Sole is the standard-bearer for several native Campanian denominations around Naples. Founded in 1992 by the Martusciello family, it champions grapes and wines few others take seriously: the searingly fresh Asprinio d'Aversa, historically grown up towering poplar trees and here made as a traditional-method sparkler, and the frothy red Gragnano of the Sorrento peninsula, alongside Campi Flegrei Falanghina and Piedirosso.
