History
La Biancara is one of Italy's most celebrated natural-wine estates. Angiolino Maule bought the Gambellara farmhouse and made his first wine in 1988, then, inspired by friends like Josko Gravner and Stanko Radikon, turned to low-intervention, no-added-sulphur winemaking in the 1990s. His Garganega-based Sassaia and the higher-altitude Pico are references for volcanic-soil Gambellara, and in 2006 he founded VinNatur to bring natural growers together.
