History

Tabarrini is one of Montefalco's most dynamic estates. Giampaolo Tabarrini, a fourth-generation farmer, began bottling in 1998 and became a leading voice of the region. Alongside single-vineyard Sagrantino, he pioneered, with Paolo Bea, the revival of Trebbiano Spoletino: in 2004 he bottled Montefalco's first single-varietal Spoletino as Adarmando, named for his grandfather, which in 2007 became the first Umbrian white to win Gambero Rosso's Tre Bicchieri.
