History
Claudio Cipressi was central to the rescue of Tintilia, the near-lost native red of Molise: in the 1990s he sought out surviving vines among forgotten local plantings and planted his own vineyard in 1998, and after the University of Molise confirmed Tintilia as a distinct indigenous variety it entered the national registry in 2001. He established his own organic winery at San Felice del Molise in 2003, devoted above all to Tintilia.
