History

Possa is a standard-bearer for the heroic viticulture of the Cinque Terre. Samuele Heydi Bonanini began making wine in 2004 on vertiginous terraces above the sea at Riomaggiore, recovering near-vanished local varieties and reviving the traditional Sciacchetrà, the region's rare sweet passito of dried red-and-white grapes aged in local acacia, chestnut and cherry woods. His Sciacchetrà was named best sweet wine of Italy at Vinitaly in 2020.
