History
After phylloxera destroyed the old vineyards at the end of the nineteenth century, great-grandfather Giandomenico replanted the family's vines in Soldano, in Liguria's Val Verbone near the French border.
In the 1960s father Elmo devoted himself to farming Rossese and Massarda by hand; after a detour into floriculture in the 1970s-80s, the estate was formally established as Poggi dell'Elmo in 2000, named in his honor.
