History
Villa Papiano sits high in the Modigliana hills of Romagna, on lands historically overseen by Papiano, a lieutenant of the Medici. The family's modern wine project began in 2001, restoring old terraced vineyards; winemaker Francesco Bordini, son of the noted oenologist Remigio, makes altitude-driven Romagna Sangiovese di Modigliana, organic since 2009.
