History
Villa Diamante was founded in 1996 by Antoine Gaita, a Belgian-born biochemist and oenologist who became a key figure in Irpinia. He pioneered extended lees contact for Fiano before it was fashionable, making dense, age-worthy Fiano di Avellino from the Vigna della Congregazione. Since his death, his wife Diamante and daughter Serena run the organic estate.
