History
The winery's roots trace to a 1959 cooperative cellar that became the Enopolio di Taurasi in 1972; a group of associates took over the business as the privately run Antica Hirpinia in 2016.
Antica Hirpinia holds a notable place in Taurasi history: the first bottle ever certified under the Taurasi DOCG designation, granted by ministerial decree on 11 March 1993, carried the estate's state seal AAA 000 0001.
