History
Raffaele Guastaferro took over old family Aglianico around Taurasi and began bottling his own Taurasi in 2003; the fruit of his ancient Piano d'Angelo vineyard had previously been sold, and was the source of Mastroberardino's famed 1968 Taurasi. His flagship Primum Riserva, from 200-year-old ungrafted vines, is regarded as one of Italy's great reds.
