History

Donnachiara was founded at Montefalcione in 2005 by Chiara Petitto, named for the noblewoman Donna Chiara who tended the family vines a century ago; her daughter Ilaria leads it today.

From about twenty-three hectares they make the three Irpinian denominations, the Taurasi, the Fiano di Avellino and the Greco di Tufo.
