History
Cantina di Barile, the Consorzio Viticoltori Associati del Vulture, is a growers' cooperative at Barile on the eastern flank of the extinct Mount Vulture, its cellars carved into the local volcanic tuff.
It pools member fruit from the Vulture to make Aglianico del Vulture, the great volcanic-soil red of Basilicata.
