History
Villa Angarano is a monumental villa at Bassano del Grappa whose grounds Andrea Palladio designed in 1548 and published in his 'Quattro Libri'; it is inscribed in the UNESCO 'City of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto'.
The estate belongs to and is still lived in by the five Bianchi Michiel sisters, descendants of an ancient Venetian doge family, and grapes have ripened on the site since the 13th century.
Its roughly eight hectares of vineyard within a 50-hectare estate sit at the easternmost edge of the Breganze DOC, and after a three-year conversion Villa Angarano obtained organic certification in 2016.
