History
Nino Franco was founded in 1919 at Valdobbiadene by Antonio Franco, and became one of Prosecco's most respected houses. Third-generation Primo Franco transformed it from the 1980s with lower yields and hillside focus; his 1983 Primo Franco was among the first vintage-dated, signed Proseccos. The Rustico is its emblem, and the single-vineyard Grave di Stecca a still-and-serious statement; fourth-generation Silvia now leads.
