History
Masi takes its name from the Vaio dei Masi, the small Valpolicella valley where the Boscaini family made its first harvest in 1772. Over two and a half centuries the family became Italy's leading producer of Amarone and a global authority on appassimento, the drying technique behind Amarone and Recioto. Its Costasera Amarone is a modern classic, and Campofiorin helped pioneer the double-fermentation 'ripasso' style that reshaped Valpolicella.
