History
Monte Oliveto traces back to 1800, when Carlo Rossi established the farm in Calmasino, on the moraine hills south of Lake Garda; his son Raimondo expanded into a grocery and tobacco business in the village by 1835, and the family holdings grew again under Raimondo Aristide around 1900.
The fourth generation, led by Cesare and family, modernized the vineyards from old pergola training to Guyot cultivation from the 1970s onward, while keeping the estate's historic olive groves alongside the vines, and today bottles the full range of Bardolino Classico styles.
