History

The Allegrini family has shaped Valpolicella Classica since the 16th century, with a formal estate dating to 1854. From the 1960s Giovanni Allegrini became one of the architects of the region's rebirth, replanting La Grola to Corvina and, in 1979, isolating the La Poja plateau for a 100% Corvina cru made without appassimento, proving native Veronese grapes could stand with Italy's finest. The estate is celebrated for its Amarone and for single-vineyard wines like La Poja and Palazzo della Torre.
