History
Poggio di Sotto is a modern icon of classical Brunello. Piero Palmucci founded it in 1989, seeking the best sites for Sangiovese near Castelnuovo dell'Abate and working with the legendary consultant Giulio Gambelli to make graceful, traditionally styled wines. Since 2011 the ColleMassari group has continued its approach, and its Brunello and Riserva rank among the most sought-after of the appellation.
