History
Il Poggione is one of the historic estates of Brunello. Founded in 1890 by the Florentine Lavinio Franceschi at Sant'Angelo in Colle, it was a founding member of the Brunello consortium in 1967 and remains a benchmark for classic, botti-aged Brunello. Its Vigna Paganelli Riserva, from an old single vineyard, is a wine built for decades of cellaring.
