History
Il Marroneto was founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Mori, who planted the first vines the next year and bottled his first Brunello in 1980. From the 1990s his son Alessandro Mori raised it into one of Montalcino's most admired traditional estates; its cru Madonna delle Grazie is among the appellation's most celebrated Brunellos. Alessandro's son Iacopo now works alongside him.
