History
Fattoria Colle Verde sits at Matraia, in the Colline Lucchesi below the Pizzorne plateau; the property's history reaches back to the seventeenth century and the Guinigi, a wealthy Lucca family, while the present estate was established in 1989.
Across some seven hectares it has been farmed organically and, since 2006, biodynamically — with Donato Lanati consulting — making Colline Lucchesi DOC wines, among them the 'Brania delle Ghiandaie', and running a biodynamic wine resort.
