History
Pietradolce was founded in 2005 at Solicchiata by Michele Faro, of the Piante Faro nursery family, to make the most of old Nerello Mascalese vineyards on Etna. Its flagship Vigna Barbagalli, from ungrafted alberello vines around a century old at 900 metres, is among the volcano's most celebrated reds.
