History
Attilio Contini (Contini 1898), founded in 1898 in Cabras, is the oldest winery in Sardinia and the guardian of Vernaccia di Oristano, the island's great flor-aged oxidative white made in the manner of a fino sherry. Its Antico Gregori is a solera blend of the finest Vernaccia vintages reaching back to the early 20th century, aged for decades under flor in old barrels, one of Italy's most singular wines.
