History

The Vallone family's Valle dell'Asso at Galatina traces to bush vines planted in the early 1920s; Luigi Vallone, known as don Gino, began bottling independently in 1995 with oenologist Elio Minoia, making it a Salento reference for Negroamaro. Cantina Fiorentino acquired the historic estate in 2016; its Piromàfo is a pure Negroamaro.
