History
Torrevento is built around an 18th-century former monastery near Corato, acquired with its land in 1948 by the Liantonio brothers Francesco and Domenico. A leading Castel del Monte producer, it was the first Apulian winery to bottle a varietal Nero di Troia, the Vigna Pedale, from the 1992 vintage, championing the region's great native red.
