History

Tormaresca was created in 1998 when Marchesi Antinori, drawn to Puglia's native grapes and climate, invested in the south. It brings together two estates: Bocca di Lupo on the Murge plateau in the Castel del Monte area, and Masseria Maìme in the heart of the Salento, added in 2009. The project pairs Puglia's traditional varieties, Aglianico, Nero di Troia, Primitivo and Negroamaro, with modern winemaking, from the flagship Bocca di Lupo Aglianico to Salento Primitivo and Negroamaro.
