History
Founded in 1935 by thirty-six growers, Cupertinum is the oldest cooperative winery of the Lecce province, now some 350 members.
It makes most of the Copertino DOC, from Negroamaro, and keeps a vine on the castle bastions, said to be the only fortified vineyard in the world.
