Bruno Garofano, with his wife Lina, founded Antico Palmento at Manduria in 1998, buying some hectares of vines and an old palmento; his children Mariangela, a biologist, and Gabriele run it today.
From about three hectares they make the Primitivo di Manduria in the old palmento.
