History
Renato Ratti, born in La Morra in 1934, returned home in 1965 after a decade abroad and bought his first vineyard in the Marcenasco zone below the Abbey of the Annunziata, making his first cru Barolo that year. He drew the first modern map of the Barolo crus, effectively introducing terroir thinking to the Langhe; his son Pietro leads the estate today.
