History

Petterino is a small, historic family winery at Gattinara, in Alto Piemonte, where the brothers Marco and Giancarlo Petterino work vineyards inherited across generations, vinifying only Nebbiolo — the Spanna of these hills.

Theirs is an entirely family-run operation, from a handful of hectares through to sale. The Gattinara Riserva is fermented in steel without added yeasts and aged some four years in large casks, alongside a Metodo Classico Nebbiolo, 'Nebole', and the everyday 'Cinzia'.
