History
Massolino is one of Serralunga d'Alba's classic estates. Founded in 1896 by Giovanni Massolino, whose son Giuseppe helped found the Barolo consortium in 1934, it built holdings in the village's finest crus. Uncompromisingly traditional, with long macerations, large Slavonian botti and late release, it is best known for the powerful, ageworthy Barolo Vigna Rionda Riserva.
