History
La Spinetta ('top of the hill') was founded in 1977 by Giuseppe and Lidia Rivetti at Castagnole delle Lanze, first with pioneering single-cru Moscato. Their sons Bruno, Carlo and Giorgio added Barbera in 1985 and their first Barbaresco, Gallina, in 1995, building a celebrated modern estate whose wines carry the Rivetti rhinoceros.
