History
L'Autin was founded in 2010 by Mauro Camusso, an agronomist who came to wine from a background in working Luserna stone, at Barge in the shadow of Monviso.
The estate works about 10 hectares of clay and alluvial ground between the Cuneo and Turin provinces, farmed organically (certified from 2019) and rooted in the winemaking tradition of the nearby Pinerolese.
It champions the area's native grapes - Bian Ver, Ramie and Baratuciat - alongside its Pinerolese Nebbiolo 'El Dolfo', aged a year in French oak vats and a year in bottle, with experimental cuvees even aged inside a mine. Elisa Camusso now runs it with her father.
