History
Ferraris Agricola is the reference point of Ruché, the rare, perfumed native red of the Asti hills. The family winery dates to 1921, but it was Luca Ferraris, taking over in 2001, who stopped selling grapes to the co-op and made Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato his own, growing from 10,000 bottles to some 300,000. In 2016 he inherited the Vigna del Parroco, the vineyard planted in 1964 by the priest Don Cauda who rescued the variety, and it remains his flagship.
