History

Majolini's winemaking began in the late 1960s when Valentino Maiolini planted the high Ruc di Gnoc vineyard at Ome, in Franciacorta; the family name derives from an old red grape, the majolina.

The cantina, carved into local rock, was renovated in 1997 and turned to organic farming; it makes Franciacorta by the traditional method.
