History
Cantina Avanzi was founded in 1931 by Giovanni Avanzi on Lake Garda's southwestern shore; sons Gianpietro and Alessandro carried the estate forward before handing it to the current third generation, Giovanni, Giuseppe and Nicola.
In 2007, marking eighty years since founding, the family built a new cellar connected by tunnel to the historic winery, expanding production of Lugana and Valtènesi wines from their four Garda-side vineyard holdings.
