About 15 hectares of steep terraced Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) in the Valtellina Superiore subzones Sassella (~9.5 ha), Grumello (~4.5 ha) and Inferno (~1 ha) around Sondrio, farmed traditionally for long-aged, delicate reds.

History
Ar.Pe.Pe traces to the 19th-century Pelizzatti house; after the family sold the old domaine and name in the 1970s, Arturo Pelizzatti Perego recovered his vineyards and in 1984 launched the new AR.PE.PE with just six hectares, his first wine the Sassella Riserva Rocce Rosse. Known as the tailor of Sassella for its silky, traditional Valtellina Nebbiolo, it is now run by his three children.
