History
Amedeo Manzocco emigrated to Australia in 1927 to seek opportunities Friuli could not offer, then returned home and in 1930 planted the family's first Tocai vines at the foot of Monte Quarin, where the Collio meets the Isonzo.
By the time the Collio wine protection consortium was founded in 1964, the Manzocco family was already producing over one hundred hectoliters of DOC-quality wine a year, later modernizing from Slavonian oak vats to steel and French barrique aging.
