History
Illuminati was founded in 1890 when Nicola Illuminati began making wine at Fattoria Nicò at Controguerra; from the 1950s his grandson Dino built it into one of Abruzzo's leading names. Working the Colline Teramane, Abruzzo's first red DOCG, its long-aged Zanna Riserva is a benchmark, alongside the everyday Riparosso.
