History

Casal Thaulero was born in 1961 when vineyard owners around the hamlet of that name near Roseto formed a cooperative to make and export Abruzzo wine; in 1968 it was the first Abruzzo coop to bottle and export DOC wine outside Europe.

The cellar moved to Ortona in 2005 and still makes the range of Abruzzo wines, from the historic Orsetto Oro line to the Trabocco sparkling.
